I'm planning on buying both the "pre-release" and CE.

I missed out on the Factions CE, and that bummed me out. I really hope Anet adds in-game stuff to the CE, but even if they don't, the skill pins, mini-standee, behind the scenes DVD, soundtrack CD and art book are all good selling points.

Plus, it comes out after my Birthday, so I should have no problem having extra cash.

in game stuff for me or no CE as the rest of the stuff i will probably give away

OK, here's a question:

What in-game stuff would be required to push over those on the fence?

Would a special dance emote for the 2 new classes cut it? Or would you want more?

new emote similar to divine aura but less than the backup dancers as to me they look a bit overstated.

ability to choose colors of my aura would be a treat

mini pet that is for those who purchased the CE. new weapons? or maybe exclusive access to new area? Who knows, whatever they're adding. I'm getting Nightfall Collector Edition!

Well I preordered the CE. Its just nice to see they are releasing it on the day its supposed to come out for once. I just hope it stays that way and the ingame feature w/e it may be is worth it. That being said, its my first GW CE of anything so...I went for it. Plus on the GW main page its followed up by "and more" so thats telling me they are still deciding on an in game feature.

only the regular game so far.

i will probably wait until sept 15 th to see if suddenly everybody starts making deals when it is out

otherwise prerelease at amazon and CE at newegg or gamestop

GameStop and EBgames are owned by the same company so they'll have the same deal as EB and vise-versa.

true.

i am hoping competition from other stores will get better bargains.

sidenote

i made one of the very first Gamestop preorders when they were offering the prerelease box as *bonus items* at no extra charge.

i emailed them to ask if they were going to honor the first few orders or change the price on them but have not gotten either a notice of price change or other answer so far.

will find out soon enough i guess.

I think as long as you preorder most stores will give you a disk. In fact i got two disks with factions. I got one the day i went in to EB games and preordered, then the day i picked the game up they gave me another one! I said to the guy...i already got one of these pre order packs. He said to me oh..well have another! It was cool cuz i was able to give a friend a key or two.

Shallow creature that I am, I'd really like something that would apply to all characters, like the divine aura (which I still adore). I felt a twinge of disappointment when I found out that /dancenew would only apply to my Ritualist & Assassin.

Although I like my mini-Kuunavang, I'm not as keen on having another mini-pet. As someone has already mentioned it's like buying regular GW but with a 100k bonus, which I find a little unfair.

If there is no in-game feature, I probably won't get Collector's Nightfall... unless there is a Spiteful Spirit skill pin! *squee*
